Why do men have receding hairlines and pattern baldness, while women do not?

Women get it too, but their hair loss is more diffuse instead of at the hairline. Source: Me, I have it, it sucks. :-/ Confirmed via doctors as well. You can’t tell per se, but parts become much wider and you see more scalp. Ponytails become less thicker.
