Why do “organizations” value winning championships more than general sportive success although there is almost no “Championship monetary prize” or special rise in endorsements for winners?

Champions get a larger share of new fans, because any new fans to the sport/league will gravitate towards the bigger names – like last year’s champions. New fans keep the wheel turning for decades to come
