Maybe it’s just me, but that makes zero sense. Your license plate is visible to literally EVERYONE when you’re driving around and even parked in your driveway. Why blur it out in pictures?

The problem isn’t people seeing your number plate. It’s people using contextual information to figure out who and where you are. Your license plate can give your identity away, like posting a social security number or credit card number.
