It’s called Frisson and it’s a psychophysiological (physical effect from psychological stimulation) response related to pleasure and is handled by the reward system and the sympathetic nervous system.

Why do people get this feeling? No one knows, the brain and body is a mystery.

I had that all the time throughout my life until I started an SSRI for anxiety. I hardly have any emotions anymore. But no anxiety. Lol
