Why do people hate/strongly dislike well done steak?

Mostly people think it is not that tasty/juicy and if you like it well done you should eat different meats.
But a well done well-done steak(pun intended) is delicious. Then you can eat it rarer and rarer and generally be able to enjoy medium.
