I have just seen a post about battery usage and how batteries actually get weaker each loading cycle. Also, I have heard that batteries should be kept in the range from 20% to 80% since its better for their durability. It seems to me that these facts refute each other. So how are both of them true apparantly?

Above 80% it becomes difficult and difficult to charge battery. Most power gets dissipated as heat. This heat is bad for battery and causes degradation.
The below 20% part is because they don’t want the voltage to drop too much which can again degrade the battery. This part had been taken care by the battery management module and should not be of concern unless you won’t be using the phone for long time.
