I have just seen a post about battery usage and how batteries actually get weaker each loading cycle. Also, I have heard that batteries should be kept in the range from 20% to 80% since its better for their durability. It seems to me that these facts refute each other. So how are both of them true apparantly?

I think this used to be the case, but batteries have gone a long way since, and it no longer applies. You used to have to discharge it fully and then charge it right back up, also fully, the first time you were using your phone out of the box. Something about optimization or whatever – it would always take longer to charge beyond 80%.
