They’ll take their prey down from the neck where possible to kill it but when it’s nomnom time they go towards the bumbum

Generally because it’s softer, skeletally wider and easier access to the internal organs, which are more nutritious than the muscle meat.

I think some predators start from
the balls too, because of the easy access to the organs from there. Which sucks because the prey is alive during this.

Because the other end has teeth and horns and, up until very recently, could be dangerous. Better to give it the skip and work on the safer end for the time being.
