I think you’re referring to radio edits. Which are edited versions of songs that appeal to a more general audience. A lot more people like club/pop than rap. So when you have a club/pop song with a rap verse they will edit out the rap part so that it’s just a club/pop song which appeals to their overall listeners.

Some songs only have rap parts on special edits of the song. Ironically they most often appear on the “radio edit” version (as opposed to the album version/edit)
