Got my second tattoo and was wondering why everyone always says to keep scented soaps off it, while I’m cleaning it with fragrance free soaps. What is the difference?
The fragrance adds an irritant that could potentially cause the tiny wounds in your skin to become infected. You want to have as few additives as possible.

Fragrances are usually added to soaps via alcohol. Which would dry your skin up and make it prone to cracking. You want your skin to be as moisturized as possible for a faster healing process so the ink will have less chance to fade and come up with dried skin.
