why do so many cardiovascular issues affect the left side of your body?

So recently I was watching a video where one of my favorite YouTubers announced that he had recently been in the hospital with dvt and pe, and he said one of the signs was pain in his left leg.

I’ve also heard one of the main signs of a heart attack is pain in your left arm.

Why are so many cardiovascular issues on the left of your body?

Your heart’s biggest muscle is on the left side, it is responsible for pushing blood around your body while the smaller one only has to pump blood through the lungs. Pain in *either arm* is a sign of a heart attack, but the left arm pain, or pain on the left side of your jaw, is a sign you aren’t getting sufficient blood flow to the places your heart needs to fight gravity to get to.
