why do some lightbulbs burn out quicker than others?

ex: my bathroom has a light fixture with three lightbulbs and one is burnt out, but all three were brand new installed at the same time.

* Whenever *anything* is made, there is some small variation in the quality of each item that is made.
* Not every lightbulb is made to exactly the same quality.
* The factories that make light bulbs could spend a lot more time, money, and resources to make their lightbulbs much more consistent but there is no need.
* As long as the vast majority of their light bulbs last a reasonable amount of time, they don’t need to make them all exactly the same.
