Why do sour/bitter tastes make us change our face expression?

There’s a communication component to it. If you see someone eat something then scrunch up their face you know what to expect when you eat the thing they’re eating. Without those specific facial expressions (like disgust, which can be seen even in newborns) we might all try the same food and die from it.
