i know that we get motionsick whenever the vestibular system in our ears and our eyes are giving conflicting information to our brain, but why do we get nauseous, why cant we just get a headache instead or something.

The working theory is that a lot of toxic things we might eat cause problems with our vestibular sense. Our bodies developed a nausea reaction to disturbances to the vestibular system as a result.
