Why do we get nauseous when we’re dizzy?

Dizzyness mimics the effects of some poisons – it messes with your ability to sense balance and messes with your linking of sense of stability with other sensory input (you feel like you are spinning, but your eyes tell you you are not).
Since the body doesn’t know if it has been poisoned, it goes into poison control mode out of an abundance of caution – it gets whatever might have poisoned you out of they system just in case.
