I get that we react in a certain way to something we find funny, but why do we “have to” laugh out loud when we experience something extraordinary funny?

It’s a social thing. We fit into a group when we all do it. Have you ever laughed when everyone else did only to later realize you didn’t even find it funny?? Your brain made you do it to get cool points, literally. We’re a tribal species.
