A great deal of human behavior is social in nature. For instance, humans have whites around our irises (unlike most mammals) so that we can tell where someone else is looking. This is useful socially.

Making a face when we taste something bad is also a social thing – it informs our children and others that the foodstuff is nasty, which is useful because then they won’t have to taste it, and possibly suffer bad effects.
