Why do we still have teeth? Why haven’t they been replaced by an artificial substitute?

With all the problems that teeth create I would assume that it’d make more sense to get rid of them and instead have something that will be easier to clean, replace and take care of.

Do you mean evolutionarily? Because most people don’t have big problems with teeth until they’re past child bearing age.

And even that has more to do with sugar that anything else
