Why do we still have teeth? Why haven’t they been replaced by an artificial substitute?

With all the problems that teeth create I would assume that it’d make more sense to get rid of them and instead have something that will be easier to clean, replace and take care of.

Some people *do* opt for artificial replacements for various reasons – sometimes it’s cosmetic, sometimes it’s because their natural teeth are too decayed or worn down or got knocked out.

It costs money to do this. It’s way more cost effective for people to… just have proper oral hygiene and brush their teeth and maybe floss regularly and avoid drinking sugary drinks than it is going through a bunch of teeth extractions and replacing them with inserts that themselves will get damaged with time and need replacement.
