Why do we (usually) feel no pain while we’re sleeping?

Usually, when someone has a stomachache or a headache, they don’t feel it when they’re sleeping. When they wake up, they feel it again.

EDIT: Maybe i’m just a heavy sleeper lol

I have had headaches in my sleep several times.. imagine teeth clenching migraines plus sleep time dilation. I have legitimately battled suicide ideation during nights like that
