Just like phones or an iPad, you also have a battery. When the battery is full, you feel energetic and good. When the battery is low, you feel tired and ‘beat up.
When you sleep, you recharge this battery. Sometimes we don’t get enough sleep, and our batteries only partially charge. Sometimes the sleep is so little, we wake up with a low battery and feel tired, or ‘beat up’.
When you’re stressed and can’t sleep your body tenses up.

Your body doesn’t have enough time to loosen up and repair itself causing the beaten up feeling.
