Why does a high quality picture/video taken of something look better than seeing it in person?

“High quality” usually means lots of work was done in post-processing. Editing usually involves manipulating the light specifically with the goal of making the photo look better. In person you can’t really change the way things look, but with a photo you can do whatever you want to make it look better
