In: 200 30 Answers ActiveNewestOldest Anonymous Posted September 29, 2022 0 Comments What I don’t see mentioned in the other answers is that water is heavier than oil, so not only does is boil rapidly when put into oil that is hotter than water’s boiling point, it sinks and boils **under** the oil, splashing it all over the place.
