why does diet coke react better to mentos than other diet sodas?

i know that diet coke itself reacts better to mentos compared to non-diet sodas, but does anyone know why it reacts better than other diet sodas?

Cola is far more acidic than other sodas, and it is the acid-base reaction that causes most of the fizz
