As the title says, why does dust accumulate on top of high kitchen cupboards?

I understand that dust is basically mostly skin flakes and fluff from clothes and things, but how does it get so high up?

Hot air rises. Dust is *actually dead skin* which you know, for the most part. It lifts because it weighs nothing, either because of the natural temperature or because of circulation in the home.
