Hi everyone, I’ve always wondered why electric vehicle are so silent, I guess it has to do with the type of engine that differs from vehicles running with gas but I really don’t know anything about mechanic sadly 😊

Thanks in advance!

An internal-combustion-engine (a gas car basically) works by taking a little bit of gas from the tank, and igniting it with the spark plug that creates an explosion (the combustion) that pushes the pistons inside the engine that turn a bunch of cranks that can eventually let you push the gas pedal that starts rolling the wheels forward.

So what you’re hearing are all those explosions that are constantly happening and get more intense as you press down on the gas pedal.
