Hi everyone, I’ve always wondered why electric vehicle are so silent, I guess it has to do with the type of engine that differs from vehicles running with gas but I really don’t know anything about mechanic sadly 😊

Thanks in advance!

A gas car burns it’s gas, but it’s actually not just burning it it’s also compressing it and then lighting it up. This creates a small, contained, explosion. These happen hundreds of times every second and like all explosions they can get rather loud. The cars have equipment intended to muffle the sounds of the explosions but nonetheless hundreds of explosions per second are loud.
