Why does food at room temperature feel cold but water at room temperature feels room temperature?

I live in a country where room temp is around 28C. When I leave food out, it feels cold in my mouth, but water which should be the same temperature does not. Why is this?

Because maybe you are used to eating food that is hot and/or fresh, while you are used to drinking room temperature drinks which is why the food feels cold
