If it tastes better, that’s because your body hasn’t had anything to eat throughout the night. Therefore, you are in a fasted state, and your brain may need to digest some carbohydrates to be stored as glycogen; when in this state, those foods that contain carbohydrates will taste better to you, while less efficient forms of energy (such as fats or protein) may not taste so appetizing.
