Why does glue fade away after some times from hands

I have noticed that sticky compounds fade away after a while on your hands even if it does not go away with washing your hands or even without washing.
What would be the cause for this matter?

It’s less about the glue fading and more about your skin cells shedding. Your hands have some of the highest rate of skin replacement of any part of your body so the cells on the surface where the glue is attached are rapidly shed, and so the glue goes too
