Where in your body is it most important to be able to feel? Your fingers.
This means loads of nerves and thus means a small injury will hurt a lot more there than anywhere else.

What do you mean skin falls?

Nerve endings tend to be the most sensitive part of your body. Finger tips, lips, other ahem* extremities all have a lot of nerve endings making them hurt more when injured.

Nerve endings in the specified region have less callous or dead skin around them and are more sensitive.

Fingers and hands have a crazy amount of nerve endings. Benefit? We can feel tiny differences in textures and make amazing movements and grasp and pinch and do all the things that allow us to change our environments to meet our desires and needs. Downside? Hit your thumb with a hammer or get a papercut on an Amazon box, and your kid learns new words.

Your hands contain the highest density of nerve endings anywhere in the body, more so at the fingertips. This makes sense biologically, as we use our hands for all sorts of things, they’re our most versatile tool. The downside is that the pain is significantly worse because there are so many nerve endings in close proximity.

Is the universe trying to tell me something? I cut my thumb under the nail this morning clipping my nails.. I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy.
