Why does it rain more now that everyone is in lockdown and transportation has reduced, including planes, and therefore emissions. I thought it was related to pollution.

Because that’s the normal climate activity at this time of year, caused by more frequent mixing of warm and cold weather fronts.
It rains a lot in April in the northern hemisphere. It does this every year.
It does not rain more now. This is well within the normal, maybe a bit on the low side, for the North American rainy season. April showers bring May flowers.
