Why does liquids stay colder longer in Yeti’s

It seems like I can have ice cold water for 12+ hours in my yeti, but a glass of water will reach room temperate in a matter of a few hours

Insulation. A glass of water gains heat via direct conduction from the liquid to the air at the top and from the liquid to the glass to the air at the sides. A vacuum insulated flask like a Yeti bottle has two walls with a vacuum between them. There is nothing in the vacuum to conduct heat and so heat transfer is very slow, only being possible through radiation or conduction at the top where the two walls are connected.
