Why does metal spoon taste weird after touching aluminium foil?

I always cringe and unable to eat with that spoon due to the taste and sensation after it touches aluminium foil.
Why is this?

Thank you!

Galvanic reaction. I am very sensitive to this as well.

Essentially, electrons are transferring from the aluminum to the steel.

It doesn’t. It’s all in your head. I guarantee if I gave you two spoons. You would have no idea which one touched aluminium foil.

Aluminium is a different metal to the steel of the spoon.

It’s quite possible that you just don’t like the taste of aluminium.

How are you with drinking from aluminium cans?
