After a few hours, shouldn’t the bad toxins be travelling away from the stomach and into the intestines? Curious as im currently having a bout of food poisoning and only my stomach is cramping badly 2 to 3 days after the food poisoning incident.

It’s not that it doesn’t, it’s that you haven’t had that version yet.
Not all food poisoning is the same, some take time to build up their army and you don’t have any problems for up to a week. Some won’t even cause any stomach distress or nausea.
Staph is quick, possibly within 30 minutes whereas Listeria can take up to a month and has symptoms more like getting influenza.
