Why does perception of a face differ from person to person?

Recently my friends and I got into an argument as to who Tom Pelphrey resembled more: Keanu Reeves or Fred Armisen. I said he resembled Fred Armisen but almost everyone else in my friend group said Keanu. This is not a standalone incident as I’ve found that even in case of people I’ve known for sometime, I perceive faces a bit differently than others. What could be the cause?

It’s kind of a bias in comparison. You dress people in similar styles taken in similar styles, you’re going to see similarities. When reality when you take the time to look at all three actors, and their previous styles. They all look nothing alike.
