– Why does regular milk (US) expire faster than it’s organic counterpart?

Today while looking through the dairy section of my local store, I noticed that the organic milk I bought expired at the end of May whereas the regular store brand milk had expiration dates within the next 2 weeks. I don’t think it’s just the store I go to either or my region because I have consistently noticed this at practically every grocery store I have been to it has been similar.

At my grocery stores, nearly every organic milk is UHT (ultra high temp) pasteurized, giving it a very long shelf life as long as it’s not opened
