Why does some animal meat marble and some doesn’t?

Question

You always hear about marbled beef waygu. Why isn’t there other types of meats which marble?

I understand that to marble beef the cow has to stay fairly inactive. Why is it that if we take a pig or a chicken and made them live inactively we wouldn’t get marbling?
Or do we?
