Why does stressing the heart with exercise can trigger more frequent extra beats (PVCs) afterwards for a month or more?

I’ve read that it might be caused by some defective heart muscle cells (cardiomyocytes) giving random electric impulse firing at wrong times and they die off eventually and ectopic beats disappear when it happens.

Is this true?

I have no real idea but if your heart is doing weird shit see a doctor. As someone who has a heart condition becuse none of the symptoms were a big deal until they were, the precaution is worth iit even if the doctor says it’s no biggie.

(Not a doctor. ) Having an extra beat here and there is no big deal, everyone has those. (They might just be extrasystoles, not pvc.) But! If exercise makes your heart beat more irregularly on the longterm, I’d suggest seeing a doctor. Generally, if your heart got noticably worse (frequent irregular heartbeats, chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath) go and see a doctor! Cardiomyocites don’t die, so if they have a defect, that stays with you for life. (That being said, a normal amount of exercise shouldn’t strain your heart if you’re healthy)
