Our hearts have become used to our inactivity. Our bodies were designed to literally run our prey to death – others were faster but if you couldn’t hide or swim away you were dinner. That isnt the case anymore – you pick up a phone or open a fridge. Think of it like old gears – slow, clunky, seized. Once you start moving, the gears start to work themselves free, your body gets better at lubricating them, and the tolerances become tighter – it no longer takes as much energy to move them.
