Well, how would that be advantageous? In what situation would feeling brain trauma help survival?

Pain is useful when you can act in response to it. A lot of internal trauma isn’t survivable in the wild, so having a pain response to it doesn’t lead to higher survival chance, and it doesn’t translate to that trait being selected for.
