Why does the color blue stick more to things?

When I used to dye my hair, colors like pink, red, orange and even purple would wash off after a couple of weeks, but blue just stayed on forever. After a month you could still see a tiny bit of blue tint. Now, I work with printer ink, and noticed that Black, Magenta and Yellow come off my hands pretty easily on the first wash, but the blue stays for around two days. Is there a chemical explanation to this? Am I just crazy?

Blue dyes have way more pigment so it sticks longer.

I feel your pain. My roots are still blue from dye a month later. I also used to work at a place that refilled ink cartridges and my fingers were perpetually blue the whole time I worked there.
