I was watching a video where the narrator stated that changing a file type from .PDF to .PNG doesn’t change the actual file type of the document. Could anyone explain why ?

File is like a human, it doesn’t matter what name it has as the name doesn’t define the human. If John Doe renames himself as Wolfie Mozart it won’t make him suddenly one of the best composers. The same way if you rename readme.pdf into donotreadme.png it is still a pdf 🙂
