Videogames don’t have a particular file format that runs on all platforms and different kinds of hardware. Thats why there’s often a different version of a game for every platform that takes into mind that particular platform’s technical capabilities as well as software compatibility. Because of this, you can’t really transfer a pc copy of a game onto a PS5 and make it work, the PS5 would require a different format.
Exclusivity is thus maintained when the dev makes a game for a specific platform only, as that particular version won’t work on other platforms.
Music doesn’t work the same way as popular file formats like MP3 are supported on all hardware and platforms as MP3 encoding is easy to implement and has been standardized. You can copy a song off your laptop and paste it on your PS5 and it will work.
