Why does the sun look like two bodies right now?

Today, I saw the sun a finger above the horizon, and it looked like there were two suns, the normal one, and a second one about 1/5 the size.

I tried googling the phenomenon, but all I’m getting is conspiracy theory stuff.

Might have been the phenomenon known as a sun dog, which is commonly observed at the horizon. Basically, refraction from ice crystals. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_dog

With the increase in solar activity, there is some troubling observations. It appears that the sun is becoming a “spontaneous binary system”. Either sun splitting in two, now there are two gravitational pulls on the planets and our oceans. It takes 8 min for solar radiation (light) to reach earth, and we may start feeling these gravitational anomalies tomorrow. Hold on for a wild ride!! … or you witnessed atmospheric refraction, similar to what gives us mirages. Different density of atmosphere refracts the light and it appears to be two.

You were noticing the glow around the sun. When the sun is at the horizon alot more atmosphere is between it and you so you can see it differently
