…that’s not normal, you might be allergic to whatever it is that you’re eating.

What sorts of things are you talking about?

sounds like your salivary glands working overtime. do you get drymouth often?

Sounds like you can feel your salivary glands working! You have two kinds, one that makes slimy spit and one that makes runny spit. Look up where they are and compare it to the tingly feeling location.

Do you mean the feeling you get at the back of your jaw when you eat something sour?

Looks like there is a thing calles FBS or First Bite Syndrome where this or similar things happen after the first bite of food. I get a cramp in my jaw sometimes after the first bite of something sour.

I get the exact same feeling! I thought it was normal for everyone but reading the comments it doesn’t appear to be. For me it can happen with random foods (it happens more often with foods that have a strong flavour) and it’s always the first bite too

I have this happen seemingly randomly when eating. It’s like an intense tingling on one side of my mouth. Not uncomfortable but not pleasant either. Like another user pointed out I think this is just saliva glands working extra hard.

I had something similar but it was pain that was radiating from the teeth to the jaw. Sensodyne toothpaste fixed it.

I think I get you, most commonly for me it happens if I eat like a slice of a sharp cheese after not eating/tasting anything for a few hours.

I get this once in awhile, but drinking a wheat style/Belgian beer would produce this every time.
