Why front wind is bad for planes?

I just don’t understand. Whole purpose of engines is to push the plane and get the air under and top of wings, right? So we already have air coming to plane, why is it bad?

Headwind decreases your ground speed for a given air speed. This is desirable for takeoff and landing, but not for getting where you want to go.

If you have a 20mph headwind for an hour long flight, you effectively have to travel an extra 20 miles compared to no wind.
