Alcohol is a CNS (Central Nervous System) depressent, meaning it depresses the functioning of the CNS. It does this by activating GABA receptors, whixh tells your cells and neurons to deactivate and go into rest mode. At the same time, it causes a release of Dopamine, Serotonin, and Endorphin, whoxh makes you feel good.
