The importance of these technologies for China is huge.
Moreover, they have a massive budget and probably also own a couple of ASML’s euv lithography machines.
Why is it that they cant remake these machines?

[ASML has acquired](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASML_Holding) every company that might have competed with it, and leaders in adjacent disciplines. So there’s a huge drop off in technology when choosing one ASML’s remaining competitors.
Nothing bad there, just an explanation for why they’re so far ahead.
