It’s a hormonal thing. Normally male hormones play a role in balding. However, it’s more common in women than you think. Being bald isn’t socially acceptable for women, so most of them wear wigs, or have extensions to hide the problem.
As men generally have higher levels of testosterone, it is more likely that DHT levels are going to be higher. DHT is the link to hair loss.
